Bruno Mahfuz was born in 1984, has a degree in business administration, and has been a wheelchair user since the age of 17, following a car accident. Since then, he has faced numerous challenges due to the lack of accessibility.
Living life in a wheelchair made him realize that an “Accessible Experience” goes beyond simply complying with regulations—it involves a combination of infrastructure, service, and most importantly, raising public awareness about the importance of accessibility. With this in mind, Bruno founded Guiaderodas, an accessibility company that informs, educates, and certifies spaces to promote a more autonomous and inclusive life for everyone.
In 2016, he launched the Guiaderodas app—a free, collaborative tool that allows users to search for and review the accessibility of places. As a wheelchair user, his motivation for creating the platform was to spare others the frustration caused by a lack of information about accessibility.
